Grace!

Grace by Max Lucado is an amazing book that I finished in a couple of readings. Nothing you do can make God love you more, nothing you can do can make God love you less. In his typical style, Max mixes humor, stories and scripture to help us better understand the grace of God. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about this crucial subject. A great resource for dad's!

All Pro Dad by Mark Merrill is the best book on being a father I have ever read.  It is written in simple, concise language that covers the 7 M's of being an all pro dad: Know Your Makeup, Know Your Mindset, Know Your Motive, Know Your Method, Know Your Model, Know Your Message, Know Your Master. I would highly recommend this book to any father who truly desires to be the best dad they can be. Book Review - Running For My Life

I recently finished reading the book "Running For My Life" by Lopez Lomong.  This was one of the best books I have ever read.  It is a great story about a "lost boy" of Sudan who was kidnapped at the age of 6 to become a child soldier.  The book journeys with Lopez as he escapes his captors and lives at a UN camp for 10 years before coming to the United States as a 16 year old in 2001. 

Lopez never lost faith in God and kept on pursuing his dreams.  In 2008 he was the US flag bearer at the Olympics!  This is a must read book for anyone who wants to see the good work God still does in our lives today if we are faithful to him.

Book Review - I am a Follower

I have been trying to read I Am A Follower - The Way, The Truth, And Life of Follow Jesus, for some time now.  Unfortunately, this is not a book that I can get into.  I have read a lot of leadership books in my lifetime, but never a follower book.  I agree with the idea that it is about following Jesus and not just leading our own way.  I have heard that other books by Leonard Sweet are better to read than this one.

Book Review - The Boy Who Changed the World

I read The Boy Who Changed the World by Andy Andrews, published by Thomas Nelson. It is a great little book that profiles future world leaders through their eyes as they are little boys. As with all the other Andy Andrews books I have read, I highly recommend this book! I recently read America: The Last Best Hope (Volume III) by William Bennett. It is a great book! A history of the United States and the world event that shaped the United States, based on the presidencies of George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and the beginning of Barack Obama's presidency. I learned a lot and really appreciated the writing style of this book. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a book on the recent history of the United States and the world.
